Lin Chong, nicknamed the Panther Head, hails from the capital (Kaifeng, Henan province). He is one of the 108 heroes of Liangshan and ranks as the 6th most renowned hero among them. Originally, he was a martial arts instructor in the Imperial Army with 800,000 troops. Due to his wife catching the eye of Gao Qiu's adopted son, Gao Yaoniang, he was repeatedly framed and eventually forced to join the outlaws at Liangshan Marsh. During the grand assembly at Liangshan, he ranked 6th and was granted the title of "Heavenly Star" and second-in-command of the Five Tiger Generals of the Cavalry, guarding the drought-stricken fortress in the west.

Following the series of heroes from the Three Kingdoms, a brand-new collection of original sculptures titled "Heroes of the Water Margin" debuts. The first piece in the collection is the 1/4 scale mounted general, Lin Chong, inspired by the depiction of Lin Chong in artist Zhang Mo's painting scroll "Tiangang and Disharmony" which showcases the 108 heroes of the Water Margin. It portrays Lin Chong's valiant figure after he became a fierce warrior following his oath of brotherhood at Liangshan.
